Academic Council
The Academic Council for the Faculty of Science consists of 13 members, including 3 students, 6 lecturers, 3 technical staff members, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science. Its functions include approving administrative matters and budgets. In general, the council serves to facilitate collaboration between the various institutes within the Faculty of Science. This involves discussions on the impacts of new budgets and the objectives for research across the different institutes.

Work Environment Committee
This committee works to ensure the best possible work environment for both students and staff at the institute. The committee consists of four members, including the head of the institute and a representative from the student council, and ensures that conditions at the institute continuously comply with current regulations regarding safety and working conditions. Additionally, it ensures that all facilities for research, teaching, and study are up-to-date and fully functional. Any changes to the institute’s premises and equipment are also discussed and planned within this committee.

The Faculty of Science Study Board
The Faculty of Science Study Board has many responsibilities and represents the interests of both students and lecturers. For example, the board acts as a quality filter, ensuring that proposals from institutes, the teaching committee, and other bodies are reasonable and in the best interest of as many people as possible.
Another important task is approving applications for credit transfers, exemptions, additional exam attempts, and similar matters.
Meetings are held approximately once a month.

Institute Forum
The Institute Forum takes place once a month from 10 AM to 12 PM, typically on the second Friday of the month. The meeting serves as a source of information about what is happening at the institute, such as new hires, new study programs, the impact of various reforms, and more. Attendance is mandatory for all employees, including PhD students. Therefore, if someone wants to share information that everyone at the institute should receive—such as announcements about social events—this is the right place to do so. Unlike other councils and committees, the forum does not have direct decision-making power. However, it can determine IMADA’s general stance on a proposal.
Occasionally, there is a segment called The Dean’s Corner, where the dean visits, and attendees have the opportunity to ask questions. Each meeting is accompanied by breakfast rolls and butter.
Institute Council
The Institute Council consists of 12 members, of which 2 are students from IMADA, and the remaining members are employees of the institute. The council meets at least four times a year, during which discussions are held to advise the institute’s management on matters such as the institute’s development, organization, social and academic framework, and finances. The Institute Council provides an opportunity for students to be involved in discussions regarding long-term decisions about the institute’s development.
