Amendments to the Statutes
At the general assembly, there's an opportunity to amend the statutes. Proposals for amendments must be submitted in writing to the council chair/board no later than 8 days before the general assembly. An example of a proposal submitted previously, along with a template for the proposal, can be found here.
The following amendments to the statutes have been adopted since 2010:
- At the extraordinary general assembly on May 6, 2014, an amendment was adopted to §4.1
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 17, 2016, amendments were adopted to §4.3, §6.1 and §7.1 as well as the addition of §6.2
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 16, 2017, amendments were adopted to §2, §3, §4.2, §4.4, §6.1, §7.2, §8.2 and §8.4 as well as the addition of §6.3.
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 15, 2018, amendments were adopted to §6.1, §4.4 and §6.2.
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 16, 2020, amendments were adopted to §1, §7.2 and §7.3.
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 18, 2021, amendments were adopted to §6.1 and §8.2.
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 31, 2022, amendments were adopted to §4.4, §6.1 and §6.2
- At the ordinary general assembly on March 18, 2026, amendments were adopted to §6.1, §7.1, §7.2 and §8.4 as well as the addition of §6.5.
